Where my story begins

I had just lost the love of my life to a distance felt in miles and hours and overuse of cell phone minutes…

And suddenly you just know it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings. — Meister Eckhart

I was a doe-eyed, broken-hearted teenager, and then I started to dream up my perfect fairytale. I connected people in all sorts of crazy ways, added dream-like scenery, and of course, smashed two characters together in a love story, whether they liked it or not. As time went on, the story evolved, the intrigue got a lot more intriguing, characters were murdered, wars started, and misunderstandings ran amuck! And after ten long, sometimes silent, years of working at the story, it matured into what I always hoped it would be. Zolithia (working title) is the book I always wanted to pick up. And it happens to be the one I wrote, too. Now, I’m on the way to self-publishing my figurative first baby. My greatest desire is that my readers will enjoy this story as much as I have, and join me in exploring many other worlds and inner struggles.

And to settle the concern of my lost love and broken heart, know that the pain of that long distance strengthened us far more than I would have imagined. We are living happily ever after now.
