Today, I am going to share some character profiles with you. You get to meet the five most impactful characters in the story. Some of this stuff isn’t going to be in the book, so think of it like a free ice cream with your dinner purchase 😉 Also, the theme songs are not necessarily the favorite song of each character, rather, they’re the vibe of the character as they relate to the story.
Joy

What kind of person is your type? I wouldn’t say I have a “type” but I DEFINITELY stay away from Alpha Males. My brother is one. EW.
What do you want to be remembered for? Oh man, if I could be remembered for making an album or something, that would be my dream! But realistically, I just want my family to be proud of me.
What do you do in your spare time? Listen to music. Browse AirBnBs. Binge Netflix, like everyone else, I guess. I don’t have a ton of free time, actually.
What are your plans for summer? Show up at every one of Carson’s games. Hang out with Lena. Hopefully have a free night to go to karaoke with Cale. I need to find some way to earn money, too, but baseball eats up my schedule.

What kind of person is your type? Um, attractive? I mean, I prefer if they aren’t jerks, but how can you date someone you aren’t attracted to?
What do you want to be remembered for? Ugh, do I really have to think about that right now?? I just want to be free of expectations for a few months. GOSH. (But maybe a badass politician.)
What do you do in your spare time? I like shopping, spa days, cheerleading during the school year. And dating, but lately that’s been BO-RING.
What are your plans for summer? My family is going to Italy in June, and then… I don’t know. Just chill out, probably. Joy said she wants to take me to the State Fair, but I’m not sure how I feel about inhaling all that dust and riding rickety rides. She swears the funnel cake is worth it, though…
Jin

What kind of person is your type? The confident type. I don’t like “typing” people. If we get along, I don’t really care about the other stuff. But confidence is sexy.
What do you want to be remembered for? I don’t need to be remembered, but I do want to make an impact for people who are less privileged or deserving of a better life. And I want to be a good dad, like mine.
What do you do in your spare time? I translate a lot right now. It’s interesting to get phrasing correct in Korean and English, so it’s fun sometimes. But I’m studying law so it’s not always that exciting.
What are your plans for summer? I have a couple of academic things I’d like to get done. Some big future decisions to make. But when I can, I want to get in the sun. I’m also traveling a bit with my parents, so that’ll be a nice change of pace.
